Telluride's Town Park, chock-full of festival-goers during 2008's Blues and Brews Festival.

For those of you who haven’t seen it- Town Park- the Phish venue, well, it’s kind of tough to imagine.  Tough to imagine a place more beautiful or more perfectly suited for experiencing music.

The view looking east from right smack dab in the middle of it all- during 2009's Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Thanks to the wonder of digital media you won’t need to imagine much at all.  Simply picture yourself here amidst the crowds enjoying a multitude of sensory experiences, some of which will be the music of Phish, much of which will be the ambiance of the box canyon that surrounds you and roughly 9,000 of your closest friends.

The Town Park stage is the stuff of legend, and to play upon it is to know this.  The stage has hosted such diverse artists as Johnny Cash, B.B. King, Bob Dylan, David Byrne, Jewel, Lyle Lovett, Elvis Costello, and George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic- not to mention the Grateful Dead and pretty much every bluegrass star there ever was- from Bill Monroe and Earl Scruggs to Sam Bush, Alison Krauss, Jerry Douglas, Chris Thile and everyone in between.  Come August, Phish will join the ranks of artists who have been fortunate enough to get to play to the awesome mountainous natural amphitheater that is Telluride.
